Watercolor Paintings

My media of choice is watercolor. I have painted with watercolor for over 30 years and the more I paint the more I prefer using watercolor. The images on this page are images I have painted over the past 10 years since I retired. There may be some older but I have done most of my painting since I have been freed up from my day job. I hope you like them. I sell my work privately so if there is a piece you are interested in please send me a message on the contact form. Prices range between $50.00 and $300.00 Canadian.

About Me

I am an artist and surface pattern designer. I paint mostly in watercolor and acrylic but I like to dabble in what ever is out there including pencil crayon, alcohol inks and even fabric art. I also create art digitally using my watercolor and acrylic paintings and editing them in Photoshop to become new pieces of art. A lot of my work is of whimsical critters or floral patterns.

I have written and illustrated 3 children’s books but to date they have not been published. One of the books “A Visit to Cape Sable Island” features the beautiful island I call home. My books and art demos can be viewed on my YouTube channel.

I live by the sea in beautiful South West Nova Scotia. My inspiration comes from my natural surroundings and with four distinct seasons there is no end to the variety of subjects available. Spring and summer bring an abundance of wildflowers including wild roses and Lupine. In fall there is Goldenrod and Michaelmas Daisies and of course the exceptional autumn colors of the hardwood trees. Winter has it’s own charm with rough seas and gorgeous sunsets.
